SUNDAY SELECTION CRAZY DREAM

This was my crazy illustrated dream from 2015.  Came across it this morning and laughed and laughed.

Last night I was on a Chess board and the hand of God was lightly touching my head. I would move slowly across the board as the game progressed. Then suddenly I would begin to spin and hop and fall and twirl and I would hear loud laughter over my head. Then I would be back in my place and the game would proceed. In this dream and in real life our Creator finds it entertaining and humorous to mess with me.

WORDS FOR WEDNESDAY 02-24-2021

Alex J Cavanaugh provided lots of good words for WFW that were found on Elephant Child's blog.  I had to miss the middle two weeks.  Now I am glad to finish February with some of his fun words.  I only used the first six this time.

TIMES THEY ARE A CHANGIN' by Granny Annie

Louise often whispered, “Piffle, piffle” while she worked in the kitchen. Usually she was responding to some malarkey she was hearing on the television.

Her grandson Eric wandered into the kitchen dressed in his favorite Ninja costume. He questioned his grandmother about the meaning of the word piffle. Louise told him it means something is just a lot of hooey. "What is hooey" Eric asked next.

Don't bother me Eric”, his grandmother demanded. “I am trying to make this guacamole and don't want you to lollygag in here. Now skedaddle."

Eric ran out of the kitchen to find his his mother and ask why Grandma spoke in a foreign language.

SUNDAY SELECTIONS

For my Sunday Selections

I have been working on the AYALA ART 29 FACES for February, 2021.  I post them on my art page byEAGHL but decided to show the first 18 here too.  I am taking a break before finishing the final 11. This February I have been drawing famous FEMALE country singers on ACEO/ATC cards.

First Row: Mother Maybelle Carter, Jessi Colter, June Carter Cash, Kitty Wells, Emmylou Harris, Linda Jones ; Second Row: Loretta Lynn, Crystal Gale, Reba Mcentire, Alison Kraus, Shania Twain, Martina McBride; Third Row: Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette, Brenda Lee, Dottie West, Carrie Underwood

Is there a favorite country/western female singer you would like for me to try in the final 11?

HAPPY TUESDAY

Did you hear about the explosion at the cheese factory in France? There was nothing left but de Brie.

I’m pretty sure the person who decided to put the first R in February also decided how to spell Wednesday.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!! 💖💓 I enjoy remembering this selection of gifts from my precious Ron. He was a generous gift giver during our courtship and then he changed his pattern of giving a bit after our marriage. See if you can tell from the pictures what gifts came before our marriage and what came after we tied the knot.

Not the actual books, just images of the kinds of books. He showered me with poetry books by Robert Browning and Elizabeth Barrett Browning and other favorites.

He bought me several pieces of lovely jewelry. These earrings from the internet are almost identical to a pair he gave me. Sadly I have lost one.

I came home to find this backhoe awaiting me with Ron holding a heart box of candy and some beautiful flowers telling me Happy Valentine's Day.

I waited at the airport terminal for him to exit the plane. We embraced and together collected his luggage. He opened his suitcase and pulled out a crinkled brown bag that was somewhat damp. "This is for you" he said and I reluctantly took this strange gift, opening it to discover a small bouquet of roses, carefully packed and looking as fresh as the moment he cut them for me.

He showered me with poetry books by Robert Browning and Elizabeth Barrett Browning and other favorites.

You were correct if you guessed the Case backhoe he gave me one Valentine's Day, but it was used for making my dreams come true so it was a good present and it was accompanied by flowers and candy.💋💓💕💖💘

HAPPY TUESDAY

A smile starts on the lips, a grin spreads to the eyes, a chuckle comes from the belly; but a good laugh bursts forth from the soul, overflows, and bubbles all around. — Carolyn Birmingham

CHANNELING RON

My girl Slim has been annoying me.  She gets in front of me and comes to a stop.  Next she proceeds slowly and I follow her on my chosen path.  I thought it was because she is old (15 years old) but it finally dawned on me, it is because I am old.  Ron would always tell me  to slow down or I would hurt myself.  Now I am moving too fast through the house and tripping a lot.  I believe Slim is channeling Ron to remind me to slow down. It is working. She started doing this about the time I fell out of the attic!

WORDS FOR WEDNESDAY 02-03-2021

Today's words are posted on Elephant's Child and provided by Alex J. Cavanaugh.

 War, Alien, Tomorrow, Metal, Dragon

and/or

Suspects, Quest, Fury, Winter, Darkness

PLEASE NO WAR by Granny Annie

Clarmont carefully sculpted the metal dragon and thought about tomorrow. The ones that brought the war would seem like aliens but they would not be. They would fight any proof that actual dragons existed.

His quest for rioting suspects had brought Clarmont a fury inside. Why must we battle in this winter darkness? We need to embrace the dragons and welcome them into our lives. He softly wiped the wings of this creature he had created.

Metal Earth Iconx Silver Dragon.

LET US LAUGH ON HAPPY TUESDAY

"You know that little indestructible black box that is used on planes, why can't they make the whole plane out of the same substance?"

A vulture boards an airplane, carrying two dead raccoons. The stewardess looks at him and says, 'I'm sorry, sir, only one carrion allowed per passenger.
