GREAT EXPECTATIONS

The building and remodel on bathrooms started January 9th.  We are weary from the yet unfinished projects. Today ends January and our once great expectations are waning.

  1. I know that feeling so very well. Except I'm mostly a DIYer ... so I only have myself to blame.

  2. Building / remodeling delays are maddening, aren't they? I hope you get some relief soon.

  3. I understand Annie. Back in 2005 when I still had a remodeling crew working , I'd get calls in the middle of the night from folks who "just wanted it over with" , their project I mean.:-)

remodeling is so much tougher than building new but "this too shall pass" and it'll all work out and you'll love it.
    I'm wishing it for Ya'll.

  4. I hope it will all be done soon and that it will be worth all the time it took.

  5. Just think about how nice and new everything will look when it is done. I remember when my mother became very ill my brother decided to remodel their bathroom in the old farmhouse. There was only one bathroom in the house...so it was a bit of a nightmare for a while.

  6. I remember what a pain in the arse it was when we were having our downstairs cloakroom done.

    I hope they finish soon!

  7. Are you doing it yourself or is someone doing it for you? Either way - I understand - it is so frustrating.

Like changes in the wind said - 'get your tongue wagging again' lol

Not fishwife style but nice and gentle but with purpose style

    Take care

  10. Sorry it's taking so long. I know it must be very dissappointing. I hope they will get at it and finish up soon.

  11. I know you'll ride their butts until they finish. Luckily you have an e-reader so you can keep busy and keep watch!

  12. Remember there are many beautful rest stops on the other side of the mess...

I know the feeling! Keep in mind I waited 8 months for my bathtub to finally get fixed! Showers do not compare- especially in an unheated room...

You better believe I now soak after work at every opportunity! Feels so good-

You will too! Much sooner than months I hope! Until then, focus elsewhere, or put a fave knick knack in the one you use now-

  13. Awww! Sending you some "Remodeling Strength" medication, Annie :) It never goes quite how we plan - especially time-wise - but wait until it is done (no matter when) because you will forget all the frustration, disorganization, dust and debris, and it will be worth it...hmmm...sounds like raising kids, doesn't it? :)

Happy New Year! I've missed you!

We are planning to redo our kitchen, but do not have a final design nor were the cabinets will come from. So soon, i will also be going throught the process!
