DEPENDS ON WHO YOU ASK
Question Of The Week 1-28-13
How I saw myself. My siblings would say otherwise:)
What type of kid were you (e.g. spoiled, rebellious, well-behaved, quiet, obnoxious...)?
Quiet and well behaved "children should be seen and not heard" because of that fear of being beat with the belt. Then the rebellion hit and wow was I not well behaved.
Lynn -- And surely the day came when you were outwardly rebellious.
LL Cool Joe -- Sorry for your convoluted childhood. You tuned out so well despite your frustrations.
Always Nesting -- It is difficult to imagine being beaten as a child. However I was pampered and still rebelled. Your rebellion seem justified but don't know where mine came from.
I am sure that you were awesome. Me on the other hand was not as good looking as my brother and still remind him that he got gaagaed over more than me. LOL
I was the youngest of 7 and way too well behalved. I never had a curfew and was always home and in bed by 11:00. I could have gotten away with murder because my Mom and Dad were 44 and 45 when I was born so when I hit 16 they were like I am now, tired and asleep by 10:00.
Jeanie -- My older brother WAS the spoiled one. We called him Saint Jim because he could do no wrong.
Chatty Crone -- You still strive for that don't you?

Lucy Stern -- Look at you showing up on my blog! Yea!
Munir -- My sis and I were that way.
G.B. Miller -- It is difficult to think of you as "blah". You really had them fooled didn't you?
Cliff -- I should have asked everyone for their sibling placement. As a youngest child, I too watched and learned. AND I did get away with murder...well not actual murder...don't call the law.
Charlotte Crawley -- Usually the oldest daughter has to work the hardest and sounds like you must have with five younger siblings.
as the oldest of 4 I was responsible and a caretaker my parents were so neglectful that I was grown beyond my years I did have a rebellious period in my teens but even then I was always kind and careful
I was the middle girl out of six kids (3 and 3). My mother always said I was her most rebellious, but I think my younger sister was worse than me. I think I'm kind and thoughtful, fun loving, caring. My family may beg to differ. As you can see, I'm very full of myself, lol.
As the 4th of 5 I was the introvert. When I spoke up folks bobbed me over the head or made a scene- n I just learned not to mess with them unless I had too! I rarely got in trouble.
I have worked to overcome my tendency, n do speak up alot now when with my sibs.
Hi Cousin! Sorry to see you have so much to deal with in your life right now. Have you looked at Bennights Unite lately? I just put up a biographical sketch I found on Lizzie and Tandy. You should check it out.
As for your question of the week, I was all of the above, but predominantly very shy and spoiled.
Oh how I laughed when I saw the pic and read how you saw yourself! I was a quiet, well-behaved kid but we all were because my dad would have killed you if you weren't!
How did I see myself? I wanted to be an actress, dancer, singer and thought I'd be good at all of it. But my main goal was to be a mother with a little baby in my arms like my dolls. And that dream came true and I feel so blessed.
Lorraine Nielsen -- I am so glad t hear from you and will try to find the post right away. Yes we are being put through the wringer right now with remodeling both to our home and to our bodies! LOL
Belle -- My mother was the task-master in our home, but she only had to give us "the look" and we quickly became well behaved. I am happy that your dreams came true.
JeanMac -- You are trying to trick us with the "well behaved" comment, aren't you?
Ileana -- It seems to me that you are exactly that today! LOL
Lorraine -- That is the biggest family mystery. I don't even have a clue to offer you. We did know that he was raised by the Tobeys. I think he was in the Civil War or am I confused? Guess I better check his age at that time. Have forwarded the information from the website to all my family and there is much excitement. That article was thrilling. I'd say I was well-behaved but I am sure my brother would say I was spoiled.
