SECLUSION
He was a bit of a recluse which made Philip's life difficult to explain.
Why did he decide to accept a lecture circuit to tell strangers why his hermit life was valuable?
His longtime friend Graham had driven him to this auditorium and would accompany Philip to the other locations for his speech.
Philip looked around the packed hall with a grimace knowing this would not be a highlight of his secluded life.
He looked at Graham whom he had promised to tell the world why he had disappeared after his invention won him fame and fortune.
Philip spoke to the crowd, “I don't like people.”
okay interesting
ReplyDeleteThat would certainly get their attention lol.
ReplyDeleteI often agree with Phillip. And hope he can get back to his peaceful life. Soon.
ReplyDeleteOkay, so now I want to know what he invented, and if he has invented anything else during his life as a hermit. Good SSS.
ReplyDeleteI used to love people...it's harder to do so these days...good six
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your 6.
ReplyDeleteA sacrifice on Phillip's part to honor his promise to his friend. Phillip and Graham clearly have a very dear friendship, you can see the reciprocity.
I love Sixes that clearly are the welcome mat to a world, people and a story.
ReplyDeleteGood Six, yo
Well, that sounds like a good reason!
ReplyDeleteI laughed at that succinct explanation. It makes for a short lecture. I doubt he gets asked back.
ReplyDeleteWhen you hear of the horror stories of cruelty and hatred these days, it takes work and stories like the rescue of the soccer 13 to keep from becoming like Phillip.
ReplyDeleteI know how he feels.
ReplyDeleteI'm okay with people one on one, but as a species, we're just plain awful.
