With quite the opposite problem and a week of relentless heat I am very grateful that 'this too will pass'. And hope that the fires currently burning can be contained without more loss of life and property.
That pretty much sums it up! I am grateful for the guys who get up at Ridiculous O'clock in the morning to shovel my condo complex so that I can stay snuggled in my bed.

Changes in the wind I thought I was going to get to be warm but awakened this morning to another winter blast after a couple of days of teasing warmer temps.
Munir This past week was a tough one to find some words of gratitude. Glad your daughter enjoyed my unruly hens. Yes my article in Countryside Magazine was a delight about the hen trying to sit on the new kittens.
LL Cool Joe My little truck does not do well on snow and ice so the van is my vehicle of choice in winter.
Brighid Are you going to tell me which “one”. By the way, loved the National Anthem you sent.

Lynn It was warmer here for a couple of days then this morning, “Pow, right in the kisser!” (Do you remember that expression?) Freezing temps back and light snow. I HATE IT!!! Glad you got to see the chicken run.

A yes, you do not have to haul wood, crack ice off the pond or harness up the horses. Life is good.
