It was a good downpour and we're supposed to get more over the next few days. This drought broke highest records set back in the 1800's. Whew...hope it's completely over for the next couple hundred years. (Oh yes, careful what we wish for -- floods will surely follow!)
Dear Annie ~~ Glad you got some rain as it was welcome. We have had enough for a while now. Glad you related to the child of 92 as you have starting in September. Funny the things they have missed. It is nice to have company and all my vistors are welcome. A phone call would be nice sometimes. Take care my friend, Love, Merle. My favorite movie would be Forest Gump. I always watch it every time it is on.
Lovely news. Isn't it wonderful when rain is celebrated instead of cursed? We were singing the same song of gratitude yesterday (but could have done without the severe storm that heralded its arrival - lol)
Rain is always good. We were not as bad as you guys and Texas but we sure needed it. Now we have been getting some good, steady rains for the last couple of days. So glad you are finally getting some relief.
About how I've been praying for your weather to break without causing more damage- Cause I'm suspicious of Murphy's Law (be careful Whet you wish for) too!
Hope the dry spell is done without over watering! N the heat too!
