  1. Slim has the best seat in the house, Annie :)

I hope it lets up for you soon...we're battening down the hatches here - the same system is beginning to move in here. UGH!

  4. It's icky. Hope it's winding up for you. We still have a big blue bubble over Missouri coming up Hwy 44. Hunkered down and dreaming of pancakes and hot cocoa for breakfast.

  5. Now if we were to meet half way we'd both be more comfortable - you'd be warmer and I'd be cooler - unless we met in Singapore where its hot and very humid all year round and we'd both be Uncomfortable lol
    Take care

  8. Talon – Yep, Slim hit the jackpot when she wandered into our lives. She still doesn’t like not being able to stay outside very long. Are you getting this yet? You’re in for a big surprise.

Bonnie – That is funny because my spouse says this is nothing compared to the winters he spent in Michigan.

Fireblossom --“the nerve” is right. It is unbelievable.

Qandlequeen – They have closed west bound I-44 here. You better hunker down. Bet you’re getting it now.

Cathy – I would meet you but can’t get out of our driveway. Actually can’t find our driveway. LOL What's this about deadly and destructive cyclones in Australia.

Riot Kitty – We have good back-up heat if our power goes out. So far we are warm as long as we are inside.

Changes in the wind – I have had to go out for the animals and this morning I actually felt frost bite trying to happen on my only bare skin – my face. Scary. (The frostbite not my face…Well, maybe my face too.)

  10. cube -- It appears the final total for our ares is 20 inches. 20 inches of snow -- Yikes!!!!!

You could take that chicken but your would have to be sure it doesn't smell spoiled and then cook it until internal temperature is 185 degrees. But we don't eat our chickens we only eat their eggs. But we also don't buy chicken to eat from street people. LOL

  15. Lynn -- I don't mind the snow since I am retired. I hated it when I had to try to get to work in it.

Chatty Crone -- It is a lot of snot. Seems to be the most Oklahoma has ever seen.

  17. I believe you got more snow than we did this go round. But that's okay. I'm nothing if not generous.
Good for you and the company. Yes it does take a lot of breakfast meat when company is around but it's so much fun.

  20. Poor,poor,Slim... I just want to smuggle her out of your house and into mine!

But,and it's a very big BUT; Slim would surely turn me down to stay with you and Ron...

  21. Meredith – Slim just misses the freedom to be out and running like the wind. She is a very active dog.

Cliff – It’s pretty serious when we get more snow than Nebraska!

Jdjaws – Slim will indeed be glad when this ends, as will we all. We have to venture out today and try to get to town. I am dreading it so.

JeanMac – This is a year we will remember for a long time. Record snowfall for Oklahoma.

Nancy – Since Slim came to live with us under a hail of bullets, crawling on her belly to adopt us, I have to agree that she would choose to stay. As much as she would love you, I know she would stay especially because she knows Ron needs all the help he can get keeping me in line:)

  23. Ralph -- You know the groundhog agreed with you and did not see his shadow, thus an early spring is in store. WooHoo! (On top of our total 20 inches of snow, we got another 4-6 inches yesterday.)

  24. That's what we've been doing here since the week before Xmas! A very deep- snowbank n shoveling year-

I hope your usually warm state melts down quickly. We finally got rain today- but the snow is still there. Alot of roof collapses around the state lately due to the weight problem with rain in the snow.
