NO LONGER LOST IN CYBERSPACE

The website classmates.com now has some high school yearbooks available for viewing. I found my yearbook from my Oklahoma Junior year. I probably own this yearbook from 1963 but have no idea where it might be. My sister's husband's yearbook from 1957 Oklahoma was online and I found two of Ron;s four brother's yearbooks from 1957, Illinois. The pages above are from my yearbook and I have printed my name in gold above each picture of me.

The band picture is only half of the band and I'm not sure if I was first chair saxophone or last chair saxophone. Okay, I'm pretty sure I was last chair:)

It will be fun to keep checking and see if other books appear. I do not know if people are downloading the books themselves or if classmates.com is gathering them and loading them. Do you know if your high school yearbook is there?

Now an update about the goats. It seems that sweet little Tandy Kid is turning into a bully billy. He rules the goat pen and drives the other goats crazy plus he is not even two months old yet and is already attempting to mount the other goats, including his mother! Now we know where the expression "horny as a billy goat" comes from.

  1. Ah high school. I have all my yearbooks on a shelf, so don't know if they are online. It's cool to see you in high school action though.

  2. Ann looks a delightful little minx;)

  3. What a fun trip down memory lane!

I think Tandy Kid should be renamed "Randy Kid" ;)

  4. Lynn -- It is amazing the memories these pictures dredge up.

Pat -- That will certainly be the first time I was ever called a little minx. Thanks!

Talon -- Oh yes, "Randy Kid" for sure. You are so funny.

  5. Unlike everyone else I know, you look good in your yearbook photo! I am cursing myself for throwing mine away, because (actor) James Franco was two years behind me in school. Of course I wouldn't have paid any attention then, but now he is HOT!

  6. I graduated in a very small class...small school. I will be truly surprised if our yearbook goes ups..but I must check. You were smiling then as you are smiling now.

  7. Riot Kitty -- I am pretty sure that my mother had just given me a home perm for my yearbook picture. My hair was not naturally that curly.

Tabor -- I was surprised to realize how large my school was in that town. We lived in so many places and I was there four years. It was sad to leave just as my senior year approached. The smile had to be a bit different because I had braces after that picture was taken:)

  8. You look great there!! I have all my yearbooks on the shelves in my living room, as does mr. kenju. They simply remind me of how thin and cute I USED to be!

Tandy needs a lesson in who and who not to get frisky with....lol

  9. My class had over 400 in it and there isn't a single person I want to see.

  10. kenju -- So now we know that you have ALWAYS been organized. I'm sure you kept all your yearbooks but how in the world did you get your hands on all of Mr.Kenju's. Yes,we are looking for a gentleman's school for Tandy Kid. The first day of class is called neutering:)

Kay -- This comment saddens my heart. Not even one out of 400?

  11. The internet has a way of leading from one great blog to another. I could sit here and meet one fascinating writer after another if there were not "stuff" piling up. Anyway, I came here by way of Talon. And you're right, Grannie Annie, she produces one amazing post after another. Like yours too!

  13. Ann, looks like you're doing the Electric Slide in that second picture...a chica before her time, that's you, my friend! ;)

I'm glad you found your yearbook online. I'll have to check for mine sometime as I seem to have misplacd it.

Tandy Kid sounds frisky and aggressive...nothing like you'd imagine from the sound of his name. LOL at "horny as a billy goat." I wonder if they have that expression in Spanish. Probably "horny as a Cuban man" would work! lol

  14. Gonna go check and see if maybe my dad's yearbook is up. It would be so cool to see pictures of him.

  15. Leenie -- Glad you stopped by. I visited you also and love your blog.

Chatty Crone -- In looking through this online yearbook I found a picture of a girl I treated awful one day. I bawled her out in front of a lot of people and they applauded when I was through. Now all I can think about is trying to find her and apologize.

Scarlet Ily -- Ron thought I was looking pretty prissy:) I'm afraid I've never heard of the elecric slide. "Horny as a cuban man" is probably a well known expression also.

Dani -- Great idea. I'm going to look for some other people's yearbooks too. Hope you find you dad's.

  16. I'll have to check out the yearbook online thing. Mine were destroyed in a tornado many years ago.

Aren't those goats naughty! I had a few before and some of their habits are not so nice! Neutering will help I'm sure!

  17. Hi, If you have already added this link to your blogroll, you may have to do it again as some readers have been having issues due to the privacy setting on it. Adding it again should fix that.

    Thanks!

  18. I love the way you look in the 2nd photo!!
a bit like Jackie Kennedy and a bit like the bad girl from 'Grease' - glamorous and mischevious :)

  19. How fun is that!? I keep seeing pictures in the classmates ads and I'm just SURE I know them. I'd look them up but my yearbooks are stashed SOMEWHERE.....

  20. I know where my yearbook is on a shelf in my bedroom... but also haven't been to classmates in awhile- signed up years ago, only 4 of my 60 classmates ever signed up. Thanks I should check to see of my book is there.

Poor goats! Tandy kid is prob just trying to figure out what instinct is telling him- n not sure what he's doing yet! Or maybe it's a dominance behavior- like dogs fight to be alpha. Maybe he needs his little butt kicked by the other goats!

  21. Rachel – I’m sorry your yearbooks were destroyed and hope you find something of yours at classmates. Yes, Tandy Kid is naughty and I swear he is starting to eye the cows in the field next door.

The Three Little Bears – I found you okay:)

    JeanMac – LOL!

Dianne – What great compliments you paid my teenage self. Who wouldn’t want to look like Jackie and Rizzo was certainly my favorite in Grease:)

OGO – What is really fun is to look at your actual classmates and there is no doubt you knew them as the memories start flooding in.

Snaggle Tooth – Not many of my classmates have signed up either and you can see how large my school was just by the size of half the band. The number has started to increase. I’m afraid the only thing wrong with Tandy Kid is that he is acting like a billy goat;)

  22. This is so cool, over in Singapore it is usually class photos that are featured and I noticed that yours is individual photo. I think this is great fun to find old classmates too :D
