MY FUNNY VALENTINE

It is not a menage a trois but my husband and I do share a third love. Our computer. This Dell PC keeps us busy with news from around the world and keeps me in contact with all my blog friends. Our computer has it's own room in the house and it is probably the busiest room in our house.

Yesterday a welcome interloper arrived in the form of a laptop. It was sent to our rescue by my niece and her husband. They were getting a new laptop and offered this to us to keep us alive as I made attempts to heal our live-in computer. Plus they offered some technical support if I get stumped.

This is my final blog post as I begin surgery on our beloved friend. Hopefully once our PC is healed, I can get back to visiting everyone and commenting on everyone and posting all my mind farts for your reading pleasure.

If I cannot return on our PC, at least I will be able to stay in touch on the laptop.

5 -4- 3 - 2 - 1 BLAST OFF!

  1. Best of luck with the surgery!

Have to say I love my laptop. Sits on my knee while I watch telly and I can still talk to hubsband! Not quite so anti social as my old PC.

Another benefit has been that now I have no problems with my back, shoulder, arm & wrist that I had with the PC upstairs. I lean back against the cushions when I use the laptop whereas when I used the PC I used to lean forward.

One problem with using the laptop in the living room is that my hubsband gets a fright every time I access a website with music playing. I have to turn the sound off.

  2. First of all, your opening sentence was hilarious! :) I hope you don't mind if I borrow it sometime when I find our what my husband and I share as a third love (probably the laptop!). lol

It's good to know that one way or another, you'll be online and reachable.

PS - Your mind farts are always welcome. ;)

    HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

  5. Oh Winifred this laptop would be all I needed if I could use it wireless -- but remember I am the isolated 21st Century lady with only slow dial up available. I can only stretch the laptop as far as the phone cord will reach. Someday......

Scarlet, somehow I knew you would appreciate my opening remark. LOL

Annie, we are praying for workable parts as well. Thanks for the valentine's wishes.

Linda, thanks for your kind remarks about my rooster and your well wishes on my computer. I'm afraid, at this point in time it is not going well but I am still hopeful.

  10. My computer was down for about 2 weeks. I just brought her home from the hospital on Friday and she is running smoothly. I am really lost without it!
