What would our world be like today if the majestic and great Hollywood leaders of our society had decided to base their religion on Ayn Rand instead of L. Ron Hubbard?
Oh, here's another question. What is worse -- the fact that I lost one follower or the fact that I don't know which follower it was? It's a sad feeling either way. Hello -- are you out there? Why did you leave me?
my answer? probably not much different - it's always about money - that's their religion. remember - the folks who created hollywood follow the Old Testament. we might have different things to gossip about though - oh and we never would have been blessed with the stirring epic: BATTLEFIELD EARTH...so maybe our world WOULD be a better place!
ReplyDeleteHollywood! Bah!
ReplyDeleteI will always be your follower, GA:)
We'd have a thriving economy and not be in this dreadful mess. She was so brilliant - everything she described in Atlas Shrugged has come true...
ReplyDeleteSomeone left you? I've been spotty in my attendance but I haven't left you! (I've been a little distracted of late.)
ReplyDeleteI've been very, very spotty in attendance, but I've certainly not left! NEVER! So I hope you didn't think it was me.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm getting my groove back here and hopefully will be much more present in bloggityville.
I hope you're well. Thank you very much for the kind comments you've left me recently.
Hmm, I don't know. Ayn Rand was brilliant though, no doubt about it. Hollywood Folk have so much money that they get bored and try to find meaning by going for odd things. Just my take on it.
ReplyDeleteSomeone stopped following me not too long ago. I even knew who, but I still remained her follower. Later, she became a follower again. Who knows why?
Have a good weekend!
Renie
GA I loved your q tip post. Good on you for what you've accomplished.
ReplyDeleteI gave up on hollywood for fear one them might make a dollar off of me.
Someone left me recently, too, and then 2 or 3 came to take that place. I didn't know who it was either. LOL
ReplyDeleteI don't think it would be much different; Ayn Rand was all about "ME" and so are they.
I'm here! I haven't seen you at my place lately....What's up..
ReplyDeleteDear Jessi, as always you are quite profound. I am pondering this comment. BATTLESHIP EARTH?? :) Love you!
ReplyDeleteAmen Linda -- except I love movies. Oh, I'm a hopeless addict. Thanks for staying my follower as I am yours:)
Loving Annie, I tend to agree with you that we could have heeded some warnings from Ayn Rand.
OGO, don't worry, I know what you are going through. I was talking about those sidebar followers and one of them just disappeared. I'm still holding my breath for you to post a big old happy notice soon.
Sammy, same goes for you. I know what you're up to these days. I also know you're managing with the best and will have some more great baby stories to share soon.
Renie you hit the nail on the head about the Hollywood folks having so much money they get bored. I love how they plead with us to give our money but rarely to we see them putting their millions where their mouths are. It looks to me like they could deliver some very nice bailouts.
Oh Cliff, you sound like Ron. Everytime I watch a movie he reminds me that I'm only adding a dollar to their coffers. I can't help it -- I'm an addict. Have been since 1956 when I came home from school and had a TV. I sat down to watch and haven't moved since. But I like them for the jobs they do in their field and not the politics they spew.
As you said Judy, they are all about themselves.
Oh Lucy, now I feel bad for neglecting you. I've had some serious computer problems and hopefully they will be fixed today and then I can bop around everywhere to catch up. Part of my problem has been getting into the comment sections of some blogs.
Good morning...and Happy V Day! I am going to try again today...but, I did leave you a comment yesterday and today it is gone! Hmmm.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, don't stay away too long with your computer woes....we will miss you!
xoxo
I'm still here! I bet your follower just made a mistake.
ReplyDeleteWell I was gone for awhile, but leave your, never!
