RANDOM SPIN

This was interesting. I picked a random post from the past. With my blog archives open I clicked on a random year (2005) and then on a random post. The Eyes Not The Ayes was an old political sermon of mine. You may not want to read it if you are as sick of politics as I am, but it was just a fun effort to open up some of the past.

Did you see the last ILYB link to Ralph? Be sure and get some good information about ugly roses from Linda today.

"Annie stumbled in the dark kitchen and flipped on the light. She poured her morning coffee and noticed she had left the kitchen curtain open. She carried her coffee across the kitchen toward the refrigerator for her flavored coffee cream. The shattering of glass caught Annie's attention before she felt the sting of a bullet hitting her temple. She melted into oblivion on her kitchen tile."

That is a random spin of my brain. Do any of you ever create mini stories as you go through your day?

  1. I have not randomly looked at posts, but some day want to print out certain ones for a journal I keep. BUT, I have randomly visited blogs and have discovered while most used to be in English they now are mostly in other languages.

  2. Oh, I tell stories to myself ALL THE TIME! Sometimes I make myself laugh out loud or feel very sad. I sometimes talk with an accent too. Yes. I am very weird. Luckily, my family and friends love me anyway.

  3. Sometimes when I can't sleep, I go into my archives and read stuff I had forgotten about writing. It helps me to not write about stuff over and over....LOL

  4. I am not good at short stories. I tend to ramble on and on endlessly. I think I must be a big bore.

I am having trouble keeping up with current posts and don't have time to go back and read old ones.

  5. I pretend I can rezone Claifornia and give everyone a half-acre of land, and that there are no crimes committed....

  6. This is such a good point:
If you are letting your spiritual leaders pick your candidates of choice, you best change your house of worship.

    Amen!

  7. I use my archives a lot for reference when I'm considering something I've talked about in the past. I usually wind up reading a half dozen other posts and it sets me a thinkin' about the past.

Sometimes that's good and sometimes it isn't.

  8. I'm glad that was a fictional mini story.
I don't want Annie's temple shot with a bullet, and melting into oblivion does not sound pleasant at all.

  9. Well I am usually not getting shot in the temple. I don't so much have mini stories. I do present cooking shows in my kitchen, talking out and demonstrating. I am by myself so I be as crazy as I want to be.

  10. Yes I create situations in my head. They all usually end with something about a headache and maybe tomorrow.
