Okay, let's leave politics and get back to chickens.
TWO EGGS! Yesterday there were two eggs in the nests.
Hopefully my girls are getting busy again. I believe this has been my longest egg drought since we've had a flock.
Would you believe my social life depends on my hen's egg production? When we have an abundance of eggs to share, we have lots of friends. When the hens are on strike, rarely do friends and family members come by. Coincidence? I think not!
Thank you so much for your kind words and prayers.
ReplyDeleteMan I'm glad you got back to chickens and away from politics. Yesterday morning we watched the morning news. Then while getting ready for work I casually yelled at the TV, "Besides Presidential candidates and Britney Spears did anything else happen in the world!!" My wife shut off the TV.

Aahhh....chickens and eggs. Isn't it great how simple everyday things just make your day better? Just watch out for those fair weather (or should I say egg laying) friends;)
ReplyDeleteHmmmmm think I would keep my eye on those coincidence friends:)
ReplyDeleteI've heard that hens lay better in cold weather if they are give a warm mash once a day. Have no idea if that's true or not, but I think the idea is to mix laying mash with a little warm water.
ReplyDeleteYou need to tell your hens that. Tell them "when you're not laying eggs, we don't have friends around. So lay more eggs, dang it!"
ReplyDeleteThose girls need to get to layin'!!!
ReplyDeleteHA!! That is funny!! I just hope you get many more eggs!!!
