TURNS OUT...
Not a hip problem. It's a back problem. Need a pain specialist. Will probably have shot in my spine. Cannot walk straight up. Have to walk bent over to relieve the pain. So miserable I will be gone for a while.
ANY IDEAS???
I WILL TRY THIS...
Practice straighter posture.
One option: Stand with your head, shoulders, upper back, buttocks, and
heels (if you can) against a wall, and imagine a cord attached to the
top of your head, gently pulling you upward. Hold for 30 seconds, relax,
and repeat three times daily.
Physical therapy is a wonderful thing. I would rather do the physical therapy first and try to avoid surgery. As soon as the surgery (if that's the option) is done you have to do physical therapy and it's far more painful.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and rest of the week. ♥
Thank you Sandee for your concern.
DeleteI agree with the previous commenter that physical therapy can do absolute wonders for you, especially if you want to avoid surgery at all costs.
ReplyDeleteThanks G.B. I definitely want to avoid surgery
DeleteI agree -physical therapy? Hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteI am sure they will recommend PT. I will do it if they do. Thanks Chatty
DeleteWishing you pain relief from whatever works!
ReplyDeleteAmen Debra. Wishing the same.
DeleteI do physical therapy each week. It is sometimes painful but less painful (and cheaper) than surgery.
ReplyDeleteGood luck.
Thanks EC. I am willing to try anything to avoid surgery.
DeleteIf your hips and knees are okay I'd suggest a few minutes of crawling like a baby, or even just in that position, rocking the hips gently side to side. But not if it hurts. The movement helps to relax any muscles that might have tightened against the pain.
ReplyDeleteRiver, this sounds like a good exercise but if I get down I don't think I could get up. I am willing to try it. Thanks.
DeleteYes, I agree, avoid surgery as best as you can.
ReplyDeleteI hope they will start me out with a spine shot or PT but not surgery. Thanks
DeleteSooo sorry. Take care.
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine. I am holding still and praying the pain will go away.
DeleteI'm sorry to hear this, Annie. I wish you all the best...and hopefully the discomfort, the pain will soon go away. I know saying this is redundant, but take good care, my dear.
ReplyDeleteHoping the same my dear Lee. Thanks.
