QUESTION OF THE WEEK - 10-04-2021

Do you believe that children should be sheltered from unhappiness?

8 comments:

  1. There are many things kids should be sheltered from, but life isn't one of them. Unhappiness happens from time to time and teaching them how to cope with unhappiness is a good thing. Our approach to the events in life is a must.

Have a fabulous day and week. ♥

  2. If we never experience unhappiness as a child and learn how to deal with it, it can cripple us as adults.

  3. I agree with Ashok. There are some unhappy things we should protect kids from but everyday life NO. How can they grow to be strong, make wise decisions. My youngest grandson's school refused to teach anything unhappy. When he went to visit my daughter in VA she wanted to take him to a few museum one being the Holocaust. First he didn't know what it was and second he didn't want to see anything sad. OMG!!!! This is a kid that went to a private school.

  4. Of course not, not everything sad, they have to learn to deal with it.

  5. Nope, children shouldn't be sheltered from reality, it will help them survive in the future.

  6. Too much of that now--- every kid gets a trophy, an award, etc. A lack of reality is never good.
