QUESTION OF THE WEEK - 08-09-2021
If you HAD to watch the same movie once a week for the rest of your life what movie would you pick?
Oh! Boy! Difficult question to respond to with just one answer.
I have a few. "Roman Holiday", "Breakfast at Tiffany's", "To Kill a Mocking Bird"...to name only three.
Since I was a little girl I've loved movies...the love has never waned. I love good series, too...and freely admit, as with some movies, I've watched my favourites more than one.
I could easily come up some I could watch once a year, but not once a week. I've had favorites I've watch one time too many (like 10 or even 20 times) and then had to leave alone for decades. Tom Jones, Life Of Brian, Bringing Up Baby, Lawrence of Arabia, The Searchers, Yojimbo. Sometimes in returning to a film you can discover something new. The last time I watched Maltese Falcon I realized that Bogie is using some John Huston mannerisms for the first time. Huston helped invent Bogie's longtime persona.
COWBOYS with John Wayne. Actually I could watch any single movie starring John Wayne once a week. However, after seeing Olga's answer I have to add PRINCESS BRIDE. Funniest show ever.
Difficult. No impossible! I could alternate with James Stewart's Harvey one week & BBCs Pride & Prejudice the other. Don't think I've heard of The Princess Bride, will look out for it.

Just one? "Fool's Gold" with Kate Hudson, Matthew McConaughey and Donald Sutherland.
