QUESTION OF THE WEEK 12-28-2020

Outside of family members, who was your greatest role model as a child?

  1. I actually had two and both were my dad's church secretaries. The first was Jane Wilcox and the second Nellie Brinkley. All I wanted to be when I grew up was an Executive Secretary.

  2. I would say my second grade teacher, Mrs. Costello. She was beautiful, kind and maternal in such a sweet way. And a high school English teacher, Mr. Whalen, who was demanding in a way that told me he saw potential.

  3. My older brothers - and they were both good and bad role models.

  4. Role model? I don't think I had one. I was extremely shy and kept to myself a lot.

  5. Several of my best teachers were good role models. The awful ones showed me what kind of person i didn't want to be.

  6. I hadn't really thought about it... Outside of family members I think my role model was a combination of movie characters--- a bit cynical, people who didn't necessarily believe everything that was thrown at them, but fair. I don't think it worked as well as it should have.

  7. My Granny Mid was my role model.
