This crazy Oklahoma weather was on me before I knew it last night. Here is the evolution of events.
Picture one -- What is going on? |
Picture two -- check the weather report. |
Picture three -- Tornado watch. |
Picture four -- Maybe not so bad. |
Picture five --power is out. |
At least all the fallen leaves are off my lawn.
I do hope that you were able to stay safe and without damage. Loved the photos.
ReplyDeleteAll was well before midnight. Next time the clouds look like that I will make sure my phone is fully charged.
DeleteLiked the series. Hope your power is back on now. That is never fun. We got some of that wind also last night. Blew the leaves off but left a ton of small branches instead. I could ignore the leaves, now I have to pick up the branches. My neighbor lost some big limbs. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteYes the wind here was very high and thankfully that blew all the leaves off of my property on to the neighbors.
DeleteThat is a dramatic progression captured in your pictures. I appreciate the bright side -- leaves blown to the neighbors' yard.
ReplyDeleteThe wind changed direction today and the leaves have all come back.
DeleteStay safe and remember to keep your phone charged. Do you have one of those small portable chargers for when the electricity goes out?
ReplyDeleteI need to get one of those portable chargers. This was a real lesson for me because I don't even have a landline anymore.
DeleteThe weather can turn quickly. We started with some very dark storm clouds this morning, and by afternoon, had sunshine everywhere. Tomorrow, who knows?
ReplyDeleteGlad you are safe and all is well.
It used to be impossible for the weather man to predict Oklahoma weather but they're getting pretty good at it these days. That then keep it from switching from one thing to another all the time.
DeleteI love all the sky shots, sorry about the power outage, but at least you had pretty candles.
ReplyDeleteIt was hard to get to the candles and matches without any lite.
DeleteIt did make for some striking pictures.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
DeleteOh, it looks scary looking at the black sky ... lucky you have a supply of candles in the house to prevent the blackout. Always take care, my friend.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Indonesia.
Is your weather as unpredictable as ours?
DeleteTornado?!? Yikes! That is really scary. We do worry about hurricanes over here in spring and fall.
ReplyDeleteOklahoma is in the middle of the Tornado belt and everyone knows someone who has lived through one.
