It’s All in the Game
Many a tear has to fall but it's all in the game
All in the wonderful game that we know as love
You have words with him and your future's looking dim
But these things your hearts can rise above
All in the wonderful game that we know as love
You have words with him and your future's looking dim
But these things your hearts can rise above
Once in a while he won't call but it's all in the game
Soon he'll be there at your side with a sweet bouquet
And he'll kiss your lips and caress your waiting fingertips
And your hearts will fly away
Soon he'll be there at your side with a sweet bouquet
And he'll kiss your lips and caress your waiting fingertips
And your hearts will fly away
with a sweet bouquet
Then he'll kiss your lips and caress your waiting fingertips
And your hearts will fly away
Then he'll kiss your lips and caress your waiting fingertips
And your hearts will fly away

Love can be grim.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I never liked the song much, just a bit too depressing for me!
ReplyDeleteSuch games do not have to be played. Honesty works best.
ReplyDeleteThe ups and downs of love. Too bad all relationships don't have happy endings.
ReplyDeleteI can just see all the tears of the girls as they listened to this song after a breakup.
ReplyDeleteNot for me.
ReplyDeleteI find everyone's reaction very odd. The disagreement is simple and and has more to do with teenage love. It's not tragic in any way shape or form. And your hearts will fly away! Sheesh.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised also Bill. Of course I was almost a teenager when I listened to this song and loved it then and now.
DeleteWe used to have that record...plus "On the Morning Side of the Mountain" and "Please Mr. Sun".
ReplyDeleteI love them. Tommy Edwards was a favourite in our household.
Thanks for playing him, Annie. :)
I only remembered the first two lines. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThat brings back some fun memories!
