THE CRAB FAMILY REUNION

We (siblings and siblings-in-laws)  recently gathered for another All-You-Can-Eat King Crab fest.  We have absolutely too much fun at this event and somehow we always manage to leave without having taken any pictures so I attempted to photo-shop one for the occasion.

My brother and sister walked me out out to our van when the party ended and a nice stranger in the parking lot agreed to take a picture of the three of us.  I decided to attempt another photo cut and paste by placing an earlier picture of us with the new one.  Notice how they always put me in the middle to keep me under their control? :) Ron swears that my brother and sister paid him to marry me and that they send him monthly checks to keep me in line. If I misbehave he just shrugs and says the checks were late.

  1. Thank you for the laugh out loud moment at your cut and paste photo at top - very clever! I had an image of you sitting at your computer doing that and smiling at it. :)

I think they have you in the middle because they love you so much.

  2. Lynn -- Yes I smiled at my endeavors. Notice I gave myself the blue hair?

And yes, I love them so much too!

  3. You are an amazing woman with a lot of talents. Good looking, financial wizard, farmer extordinaire, as well as goat organizer, but if I were you I'd not put 'photo shop artiste' on my resume'.

  8. How nice that you and your brother and sister can get together.

I love the picture of the three of you as children and you all seem just as happy now as you did then.

  9. I adore Ron's sense of humor! Whenever Mr. RK says I am a brat, I tell him it takes one to marry one.

And based on the title of this post and knowing how many creatures you have, I was half-wondering if you were 1) going to write about eating crabs or 2) had a real crab family. With claws and stuff.

  10. Snaggle Tooth -- It is strange that we would all love this meal because we sure never had it growing up. Our mother was allergic to sea food just like you.

Changes in the wind -- I can't imagine why you would think that:)

Judy -- He is definitely a "keeper" and he keeps me very well in my pumpkin shell:)

Nancy -- We would never do this if my brother and sil weren't willing to make the biggest trip to meet with us. It's about 25 minutes for us to get there and 45 minutes for my sister and bil and three hours for them. Often brother and sil will spend the night but this last time they had to get back to their doggies.

Riot Kitty -- Thanks, I adore his sense of humor too. Basically that was what attracted me to him most of all. Sounds like you and Mr. R.K. have a bit of that going on too. I'm certainly glad you didn't think the family had "crabs"! LOL

  12. Awww! That black and white photo is utterly charming, Anne. How lovely to get together and have so much fun that you're in the moment and not worried about recording it (except in your hearts, of course). LOL - that photo-shopped photo is hysterical! :)

  13. Chatty Crone -- Are you saying your family is crabby? LOL

Talon -- It is precious to look at old black and white photos. Quite a contrast to today:)
