NOT TOO OLD TO LEARN

I'M YOURS by Jason Mraz

My grandson Ryan played this song for me and, wonder of wonders, I liked this musician. Yes, a musician that a 16 year old likes. So, Grandparents can learn some new tricks. Enjoy this for you weekend entertainment. I bought the guy's CD today.

  1. I will have to go check that out. I say people don't get old until they let themselves. My grandparents did that in their 40s, but I don't think my dad ever will.

  3. I'd heard that song before, but I didn't know who was singing it. I like it too.

  4. I personally have not heard of the song or singer here in the UK, but if you like it it must be good,

  5. I love this song even though I'm not typically quite so sappy... it reminds me of someone really important.

I love it that your boy introduced you to something wonderful!

  6. RK -- Music keeps us young, but usually it's the music of our youth. This was a neat surprise for me.

Hit 40 -- Thanks. I don't think I have ever been called "adorable".

Kenju -- I should have known that you liked it too. Must be our musical genes.

Yvonne -- You give me an awful lot of credit. Thanks. You'll probably like the guy because there is definitely a lot of poet in him.

PG -- I like it too because it's sappy and I like the scooching up and nibbling on the ear:) I still feel quite romantic about Ron though he tries to be all macho. Also my grandson discovered this artist through his girlfriend. If only they knew young love is forever if it's right love!

  7. That was my daughter's favorite song a few months ago, and it grew on me. I'm finding we have much of the same taste in music...my daughter and I, and it's great for long rides in the car.

Crank up those tunes, Granny Annie! Good songs are for everyone to enjoy!

One day I was feeling pretty sad, missing home, etc., and the next thing I knew, Joe had switched the regular tv channel to a music channel. Sweet of him to realize what an effect music can have on the emotions. I keep forgetting that. Now you've reminded me too. Go Annie, Go.

  11. Thanks for the intro. I really liked it. My sons and I have always liked each other's music (pretty much). I'm going to see if my sons have every listened to this guy. I like it very much.

  12. Being a white conservative, you might not think I'd like this type of music. I guess I'm a conundrum, as I've always loved Reggae music. I'd not listed to any contemporary reggae artists, I just wore out my Bob Marley records, then got him on 8-track, then cassette, now on CD. Maybe I ought to retire to Jamaica instead of staying in Atlanta!
