Thursday the 29 FACES will be over. I will post a collage of the ones completed by me. Only 5 more to go and I have enjoyed the challenge but know it will be good to come to an end. Meanwhile...
I decided to acquire 15 Rhode Island Red hens. They were only $5 each which was a great bargain. We had to drive to Missouri to pick them up. They all had frost bite on their combs but as they warmed up they began to lay beautiful brown eggs. Sadly we have lost three to some predatory critter so now we sit out with them when they are out of the hen house. It was awakening to realize hens were important on the NOL-NOC Estates.
The 2024 Iditarod has not officially begun but things are happening. Brent Sass the 2022 Iditarod winner has been disqualified from this year's race. Dog sled racing champion was disqualified over sexual assault allegations. The official start of the race will be Saturday, March 2, 2024.
So far we have collected a little over two dozen eggs. |
The girls are busy and Frankie is in the lower right watching. |
Nice looking eggs! Good luck to you and the hens!
ReplyDeleteThe eggs look great and the chickens. LOL I wish I could have some laying hens here. Eggs are so darn expensive here. Have a very nice evening.
