I know my answer should be a resounding yes, and I would in some certain circumstances maybe, but not as a rule. However I could/would steer them to my church which has facilities for showers.

ReplyDeleteNo, I would not. Very dangerous! They can always go to the shelter for a shower and a meal.

ReplyDeleteNope; as a nurse with some homeless VA patients at the VA Hospital, they usually need more than a shower. It's really sad. Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteAs others have noted, our church has shower facilities, so i'd offer a ride up there, as well as buy toiletries and clothes for during and after. Bringing a homeless person into your home, unless it's someone you know well (and yes, i've known people who have become homeless through no fault of their own) is not wise.
ReplyDeleteNo. I don't fancy getting mugged, robbed or murdered. I would direct him or her to the centre where they serve hot lunches daily, they could offer more help.

ReplyDeleteNo I wouldn't. I think they need more help than that anyway, but I'd try to give some food and money instead and direct them to a place more geared up to help the homeless.
