What is a memory you can recall that evokes a feeling of safety and peace?

  1. Those nighs as a kid when I was sick and there was a calm and comforting presence in my room sitting quietly or humming a gentle tune....my Mom.

  3. After my mom was told she had less than 3 months to live I was sittIng on her couch crying uncontrollably. Se was rubbing my back.

  9. I have a feeling this indicates I am adventurous at heart. I always felt safe laying on the screened in front porch of a home in Waukesha before a thunderstorm....

  10. As a child I never felt safe, not when my mother was around, and I knew no one could stand up to her, because everyone was scared of her. To be honest I don't think feeling safe has ever been something I've experienced.

  13. Glassy water while sitting alone at the water's edge at my fave beach at sunset back in 2011 after Hurricane Irene.

  14. This might sound strange, but I was pretty little and far up on a mango tree. I shudder to think now how far up I'd been, but I felt perfectly happy and safe.
