Question Of The Week 07-02-18

Which is worse, failing or never trying?

  1. to me, it actually depends. Failing. I know the universal answer is supposed to be 'never trying', but I'm a wuss to begin with. So I don't risk much. If I fail, that sucks.

  2. I agree with Silver Willow. It depends a great deal on the circumstances. Some things should just not be tried, even if you might succeed. With enough training one might succeed in running a marathon, but in my estimation, it's not worth the effort and I'd probably fail anyway.

  3. Never trying is worse because....you might just succeed and if you don't try you'll never know.

  5. I never think about failing when I try. If I do fail, then what ever it was wasn't meant to be in my life. No biggie.

  6. As others have said, it depends.
    Some things shouldn't be attempted.

  7. I haw always been a home body and I am not a risk taker. I try a lot of things but one thing I will never try is skydiving. If it’s between not trying or failing I will take not trying!

  8. Never trying is my first choice, although repetetive failing could become worse to the point where someone gives up trying.

  9. Never trying, of course. But it takes many years to learn this.

    1. I would say never trying would lead to a most boring kind of life. However, there are some things you can predict will be bound to fail and should best be left alone. If a first attempt nearly kills me, I don't rush to try again.

  10. It depends on the individual situation, I believe...

  11. I always tell my grandchildren that they'll never really succeed if they don't try. Failures are just lessons - you move on from them.

  12. I fail all the time and I LOVE IT.

Not trying? What is that? Always try. ALWAYS!
