CHEF SCHOOL by Granny Annie
The class was posed to be totally edacious. There was nothing I would enjoy more. We would cook our own food and then serve it to the judges. The table places were set with fancy dishes and drinks would be poured into each crucible. To most it would appear a bit gauche.
Some of the chefs began to argue about the menus of others. It was totally unnecessary but still it was not long before a melee ensued. The riot made the kitchen a total mess before we could realize what we were doing. Many a substance would inhere and probably fester.
The judges could not see bona fides in these actions but they did enjoy the schadenfreude. It was almost certain many of us would be doomed to chthonic. Our instructor, a famous chef, was furious and felt his regimen in ruin. He apologized to the judges and sent all of us home as if we were manumit. We were not sure if we would ever return to his class knowing he would be forever splenetic.
THE END (Thank Gawd!! Who came up with these awful words?)
AND HERE ARE THE FRIDAY FUNNIES TO LIGHTEN THE MOOD A BIT.
The End? The End? You lie, woman...the end will not be until after next Wednesday!!
ReplyDeleteI hear there is a search party out looking for that evil woman who has come up with these words during the month of September. If you run into her, I'd warn her, if I were you...tell her to get out of Dodge real quick! The posse is fast approaching! The next coach leaves at noon! :)
I hear she keeps thinking about changing the Merriam-Webster prompts but is honoring her commitment to herself and will finish out the agenda as promised. I also hear she vows NEVER to do this again:-)
DeleteHahahahaha! It's been heaps of fun, Annie. It sure has woken us all up! lol
DeleteBy the way...well done with your use of the words, Annie! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks. Wish I could come close to how well you do.
DeleteNever say never. I know I got stumped the first week, but it's been fun challenging myself more.
DeleteLove your little essay using the word cleverly
ReplyDeleteNice job Annie, those words were a bit of a challenge but you used them well.
ReplyDeleteYeah, who came up with these awful words? Hmm?
ReplyDeleteLike the funnies, especially the fake man!
It wasn't easy this week.....WAS IT? Great job. Love the spider being frightened by the human.
ReplyDeleteLove your use of these brainstretching words.
ReplyDeleteAnd the funnies.
Wow, you did good with those words. Who comes up with those toughies anyway!
ReplyDeleteOuch, I see you know the lady that came up with them...
DeleteI like your story, but I LOVE that final cartoon :)
ReplyDeleteFood fight!! I'm going to have to take your word that the words are used correctly but since you thought them up--most likely so.
ReplyDeleteSo funny scaring a spider with a human.
Haha that last one of the spiders cracked me up, thanks for the laughs on a Monday!
