Who has been your greatest role model?

I've had several role models in my life, that have all taught me different things. My Dad, my partner, Jesus, my Nanna.

That's a great question. I can't say any one person has been my greatest role model - I admire different people for different things. The grace in which my older sister handled her son's illness when he was little comes to mind.

It had always been my plan to marry a wealthy man and hire servants and stay at home to raise a family. Didn't happen. Married for lust. Divorced after 9 years with a 4 year old son and a 3 year old daughter. Found myself skilled as the bread winner having learned the business world from my dad and skilled as a homemaker having learned from my mother. Perfect combination. Treasure their influence and love in my life to this day.

In my younger years I would have to say my Mom. In my Christian walk it was a special friend. In life in general I would have to say my husband.

My Mom. She taught me to care for the smallest of God's creatures and to own compassion for all.

Lots of people shaped who I became.
And both of my parents were both positive and negative role models. They showed me who I wanted to be, and also showed me people I refuse to become.

Actually, my husband. Only married 12 years to him, and he's 16 years younger than me, but he brings a yang to my ying that my life was missing. He is so calm and collected. He he a perfect foil to my neurosis. LOL

And hi! New to your blog!

Role model?
All I knew was I didn't want to be like my mother. Now that it's too late, I think maybe I could have learned a thing or two from her. On the other hand she did prefer her sons and I remember her sole objective seemed to get me married off as soon as possible.

I really don't know, to be honest. I'm not sure if I even have one, or if I ever did.
