What are your fears or phobias
(if you have any)?

- Phobia is a strong word. I have a degree in biology and I love
animals of all kinds even the ones that some people shun like snakes,
toads, frogs, bats, et al, but living in Florida, the critters I hate
the most are the enormous spiders and huge flying cockroaches that can
both be very aggressive.
I also don't like to fly, but again, I do it, but only when I have to. It's not something I enjoy.

- I am not good with snakes. Not phobic, but give them a wide berth. And a tad claustrophic.

- Flying cockroaches? I have never heard of that. Add that to my
list. If I make it to heaven I will be asking God WTF on that one.

ReplyDeleteFlying, heights and public speaking can make me weak of knee.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm...I don't have too many but I have developed a fear of heights over the years. I never had it when I was younger but I feel uncomfortable with heights now (Rob)
ReplyDeleteSpiders!
ReplyDeleteBad sharks and being in the water at the same time.
ReplyDeleteI agree with birdie and Jan. Horses are beautiful animals as long as they are out there in the pasture and not anywhere near me. I am also extremely closterphobic. Even being surrounded by tall people can bring on a feeling of panic.
ReplyDeleteThis may sound odd, but my greatest fear is realizing I didn't live the best that I could on this earth. So I hope I never learn that!
ReplyDeleteNo fears or phobias I can think of, although I once did have an almost panic moment the day the zipper got stuck on my parka and I couldn't get it off. I go to the prickly sweat stage and hubby ripped it open. Tore that zipper right out.
ReplyDeleteElevators or Lifts as well call them in the UK. I do go in them, but I hate them.
ReplyDeleteBirdie: I had one huge cockroach fly at me not once, but twice. When I first noticed it, it was on the wall in the kitchen and, because my husband was asleep, I sprayed it with Raid figuring I'd take care of it myself. No way. The thing flew right at me and I screamed. My husband came running into the kitchen, but we couldn't find the assaulting roach. Hours later, I went to get a glass of water and saw a roach lying on it's back and I figured the Raid had done it's job and the culprit was dead. I got the broom and the dustpan and started to sweep it up when it suddenly flew at me again. More screaming ensued, but the roach was overkilled with the broom. The spiders down here are big and aggressive, too, but they, thankfully, don't fly.
