WHAT IS THE MOST AMAZING FACT YOU HAVE EVER LEARNED?

I couldn't think of one so I looked up some amazing facts on the internet (yes, I'm cheating.) Here's a good one:

ReplyDeleteThe most interesting fact I learned, eons ago, is that the human hand has 27 bones in it. Twenty-seven! That still intrigues me. What remarkable and complex beings we are!
Intended or not, still a pun:) I am counting and counting and can only come up with 15. Where are all those boogers?

DeleteI know that I learn amazing things every day...but I cannot think of one off the top of my head. Life s amazing...the fact that my body runs and moves and functions is pretty amazing to me.

Deletenow you have me thinking and for me it was the survivability of Dragon flies and Mosquitoes (since I believe the earth is old) they are 100's of millions of years old and survived calamities that wiped out greater creatures!

DeleteWhen I was a very little girl I found out that every star I saw in the night sky was actually somebody else's sun and the only reason they looked so small was that they were so far, far away.

CATHY, those eggs are definitely amazing continual life forms if they are fertilized.
DeleteI really couldn't think of one, but reading your comments has been very educational. Love the one from R Kitty about the bee, I never knew that. Maybe human beings could fly too if only they didn't know they can't.

ReplyDeleteI learned this from my old Cranberry boss, Jack, in the early 80's.
At my current job I've learned that when it's a body part verses metal, the metal always wins... (so many injuries when to tired too!)
