Aunt Betsy came up with this great idea for a weekly exercise and it helps to look back on the previous week and pick out those things that were blessings in an otherwise chaotic world.
glad all those were part of your life.. I love to see you smile:)
ReplyDeletecan I do 7 too..these are 7 things I am very grateful for this past week.
love
contentment
groceries:)
painting
working
dogs
neighbors
Thinking about things we are grateful for is a great way to start a week.
ReplyDeleteEnough would be one of my words this week too.
ReplyDeleteI got a fortune-cookie that said "When enough is enough, it will be enough."
Benign ... great thing to be thankful for ... whoever and whatever it refers to. All good thoughts but I especially like "enough."
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for the benign. Last week, one of my words would have been painless.
ReplyDeleteSeven words really can say so much.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure where this all started but it reminds me of a gratitude journal I used to keep when my daughter was a baby...over 16 years ago. I'll have to find it. Great words, btw, and it's funny, we had a cool conversation about "presence" and "presents" yesterday. Have a great week, chica! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm high centered on a cow pie.
ReplyDeleteA lovely seven!
ReplyDeleteThose are seven pretty powerful words!
ReplyDeleteSonny
ReplyDeleteYou found seven wonderful words of gratitude. I see a couple I hope to make part of my seven for next Sunday. Love to see your smile too:)

It is a very good exercise to begin reflecting on the good things when often we did not think there were any good things.

That was quite a fortune cookie. lol I picked “enough” as a word because my propane bill was so horribly high and terrifying but the good part was I had enough to pay it. Already it has gone from the $4.25 per gallon I paid to over $5. Now I must search and find a way to do something for those who do not have “enough”.
Aunt Betsy
Your started a good thing with this Sunday Seven. I don't know how long I will do it, but is is a joy to reflect and find things to be grateful for. I have to be tested every three months for cancer because of the type tumors that were removed October, 2012. Once again the results were benign. This will continue for six years. Yikes! But the testing times will grow farther apart.
Kay
Would the word “painless” pertain to you, to Art or to your mother? Regardless it is something to be grateful for:)
Olga
Can't they? I never knew until I tried this.
Ileana
Aunt Betsy started this for me last week. I think I remember you mentioning a gratitude journal before. The presents were two that I sent to people. The presence was that of friend who spent a long visit with me. Looking forward to your 29 faces in February. That will be something I will be grateful to enjoy.

There are definitely times I feel like my entire life has been centered on a cow pie:)
Lynn
All seven “good things” right?
heartinhand
And seven powerful experiences of gratitude too:)
Right now the only words I am looking for are "Spring time" LOL
ReplyDeleteFreezing rain and skiddy roads are not fun. LOL
I'm having trouble doing this exercise lately- Too tired to think! Never mind another snow-storm day again. Everything is cancelled- even errands.
ReplyDeleteAnd on the other side of the coin:
ReplyDeletegales, rain, chills, sore throat, rain, gales, leaks.

ReplyDeleteNone of us are enjoying the winter weather but I guess we can still be grateful that we have our health to be able to contend with it.

My life exactly this week and it is going to make my Sunday Seven for next week difficult to dig up, but I am determined to do so.
Pat
Come on my friend, we're not looking at the other side of the coin here. Guess you could start the Sunday Seven Opposites and post seven terrible things you are not grateful for. lol
