  2. I don't know really, I've met some of the famous people I've wanted to, and it's always a bit of an anti-climx because they are just human after all.

Jesus. I look forward to meeting him. :)

  3. Actually for me it is the future. I would like to meet my adult great and great great grandchildren.

  4. Sonny -- if they are known in history usually they are famous. Who was the world's first interior decorator? I emailed your other answers.

'LL Cool Joe -- You are so right about famous people being just people. We all know King David had some pretty good flaws!

Tabor -- Oh yes you have struck a definite wish of mine for longevity.

  5. Hmmmmmm....No one readily comes to mind. Cleopatra, maybe.

I do agree with Tabor - meeting your progeny's progeny would be terrific!

Are you okay? No games or FB this week?

  6. The first that came to mind for me were Jackie Kennedy and Eleanor Roosevelt. Very different, but both would be interesting.

  8. kenju -- Judy, Cleopatra is an interesting choice. Boy the stories she could tell. I have high hopes for the future generations that they will save this crazy world. Thanks for missing me. Aside from my regular harrowing lifestyle, I am having to wrestle our ten acres and keep most of it mowed. My son tries to help on weekends but his life has huge demands on his time, so it is primarily up to me. We were able to hire a fellow last year but he moved and we haven't been able to find anyone who will do it this year. See why I envy your upcoming move to a townhouse?

Jeanie -- A couple of interesting picks. Wouldn't it be a hoot to meet them at the same time?

gigihawaii -- I believe that encounter would be a real eye opener for a lot of folks to claim to know Him best:)

  9. That is an interesting question! Tough one. I'd say some of my ancestors.

  10. Yes, Granny, you can use the photo for wallpaper. Did you mean to ask 8 times...or was that a sticky key?? I can email you the original if you's like,

  11. I have pondered this a great deal today and decided upon Benjamin Franklin. :) Because he looked fun.

  12. Riot Kitty -- I'm willing to bet some of your ancestors made the history books.

Tabor -- That will teach me to post comments while riding my exercise bike. Sorry:(

Lynn -- I considered Ben Franklin as well. He just seemed to be such a clever fellow.

Chatty Crone -- You're not alone on that one.

  13. Leonardo da Vinci, but first I'd need to study up my Italian.

Also, my grandmother, who died in her early twenties from TB. But first I'd have to study up my Norwegian.

  14. Gosh, Annie, I have a list a mile long. I'd love to meet Jesus and I'd love to meet Lucy Maude Montgomery and Einstein and...yeah...I'll stop now :)

  15. I tried to meet Diane Y. in History when I was in High School. No deal. She was meeting someone else in typing class. Something about the touch method.

  16. Your reply on my post to my question is SO HILARIOUS!! Kindle and bike and Blogging...not necessarily compatible.

  17. Sir William Wallace, my ancestor. I want to see if I have the same toes...

oooo Einstien would be fun also. Then tough to think of a better woman than Cleopatra...

I would've liked to hang out with some friendly Native American tribes before the land was spoiled by settlers too- no one in particular tho.

  18. Kerry -- I would love to meet my great grandmother who died in childbirth. My grandmother always longed to meet her mother and her longing somehow passed to me.

Talon -- I wasn't sure who Lucy Maud Montgomery was and of course I knew Anne of Green Gables and heard of her as L.M. Montgomery but there was so much more to know. What a magnificent and creative writer she was and what a mysterious end to her life.

Cliff -- Have you ever done a stand up comedy routine? I think you and Colton might need to team up. He the horse's head and you the horse's ......

Tabor -- And so another example of learning from our mistakes:)

Snaggle Tooth -- Now you lit a spark in me. I would like to meet Lt. Col. Tandy C. Walker, the one and only Governor of the Choctaw Nation in 1847 who later led a troop of Choctaw/Cherokee Indians during the Civil War. My great grandfather, my son and my grandson all carry his name.

  19. I think I'd say Julia Childs only because I don't know much about the dear old Joan or Arc

  20. Only one? There are so many, but some come to mind right away... Isaac Newton, Emmy Noether, Rosalind Franklin, Marie Curie, George Washington... I can come up with a million of them.

  21. If I had to REALLY answer that question I'd need a year to do research. Off the top of my head I would like to have coffee with Bill Bryson, because he's got a great sense of humour and he's curious about everything, like I am.

  22. Florence Nightingale.
Considering she spent most of her life on a sofa she accomplished a hell of a lot and had enormous influence.
I'd love to get the measure of her.

  23. best wishes to you Grany Annie!

  24. I have been thinking of you for a few weeks and wondering why you were not posting. Then I went searching and found I had missed the post that you wrote before this. Since you have disabled comments I could not tell you how sad I feel and how useless I feel living so far away. Only time will begin to fill that emptiness and ache, but you also know that you will miss him forever. I am so very sorry, Annie!
