COULDN'T SKIP THIS ONE

Had to participate in this meme challenge from LL Cool Joe.

1.What was your favorite food when you were a child?
Fluffy and sticky white rice.

 2.What sound do you love?
The tractors running.  That means my husband is well.

3.If you could throw any kind of party, what would it be like and what would it be for?
Right now it would be an appreciation party for family and friends who are supporting us through these rough times of health problems.
It would be very elaborate with lots of chicken wire and crepe paper.

4. If you had to change your first name, what would you change it to? and Why?
Hilda because she was my alter ego who helped me raise my children.  This imaginary character would take over when I was overwhelmed.

5. If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?
C.S. Lewis

6. What songs are included on the soundtrack to your life?
Waltz Across Texas,  I Will Survive

 7. What was the last movie, TV show or book that made you cry or tear up?
I am going to be truthful here but it is embarrassing.  I sat all the way through EVAN ALMIGHTY and could only think what a silly, idiotic movie it was and then found myself crying at the end.  Yikes!

8. What do you miss most about being a kid?
Family vacations.

9. The best part of waking up is?
Ron

10. What story does your family always tell about you?
The Brownie Parade always comes up.  I have never forgiven them for failing to wake me up in time to get to town and join my fellow Brownie Scouts in the annual parade.  If I start acting angry about anything, they will usually say, "It's the Brownie Parade again".

And I would like to meet CS Lewis, too.

  4. Lynn -- Did you know that C.S. Lewis died on the day of the Kennedy assassination and was lost in those headlines?

Pat MacKenzie -- Oh yes, please use the meme. I got it from LL Cool Joe and it was welcome to others.

Sonny -- Thank you my friend, but I can't imagine a more boring subject that me. LOL

  8. Jeanie -- I WILL SURVIVE came out in 1975 when I was divorced with two small children to raise. WALTZ ACROSS TEXAS was the song Ron and I danced to when we found each other in 1999.

LL Cool Joe -- This was a great meme. Thanks for sharing it.

Tabor -- Thank you. Those questions brought out the real me. How would you answer them?

  10. Aww! I love the answer about waking up. I think it is a neat tip to develop an alter ego to cope with things, too!

  11. You will survive indeed. I too miss those family vacations and trips to Niagara Falls every summer, fall and winter. :)

Sweet that you love waking up to Ron and that you love hearing the tractors running. I'm surprised to learn you'd like to meet C.S. Lewis. He'd be an interesting interview.

  13. Your answers are so unique!
I tried to quickly answer these but I'm so tired I froze at 3... will try again later!
Funny how I can still hear the tractor droning on in my head!

  14. Beverly -- Thank you so much for your kind words an thoughts.

Riot Kitty -- Why did I know you would relate to that? LOL

Ileana -- Most of our family vacations were to Colorado and were in the days of multiple car breakdowns. We spent many an hour waiting outside the service station playing WaHoo while our car was being repaired. Why did it surprise you that I would want to meet C.S. Lewis?

Cliff -- My son runs them on weekends and he does a good job, but they just don't hum like they do when Ron is at the helm.

Snaggle Tooth -- That is funny that #3 stumped you because I can see you throwing one heck of a retirement party for yourself someday.

  15. I led a sheltered food life - I don't think that I had proper white sticky rice until I was in college.
And Ron is a lucky man!

  16. Nora -- You were a deprived child if you were that old before you had good sticky rice. Now I can't eat it because it doesn't fit my low carb diet. Boo Hoo:(

  17. I love chocolate pudding. Hmmm... Wait. I love tapioca pudding too. I loved seeing all your answers. I've always wished I had a different name, but I can't begin to tell you what I'd like to change it to.
