"Please don't leave me:(" |
Yes we got the okay from the doctor for us to take this trip to San Diego. We will see our oldest daughter and grandchildren and we will attend one of Ron's ship reunions. There is a chance my goddaughter will drive down from LA, plus we are planning a stop on the way down at my old home town to have a little get-together with some of my Class of 1964 pals.
Now it is time for me to get in gear and start loading the van so I'm off computer. I will attempt to blog or at least comment while we are away, but if you don't hear from me, you will know why.
No poker face there :) Have safe travels and we want to hear all about it when you return.
ReplyDeleteTake it easy and do not try to do too much. Meeting up with all the friends and relatives can really drain energies. Take photos!
ReplyDeleteHave a great trip!

ReplyDeleteIf she were a cat she'd pee in your packed suitcase. Cats are spiteful like that.
ReplyDeleteAh bless! Don't they make you feel guilty for leaving them.
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to visit San Diego after I got hooked on watching Harry O! Loved the scenery & always wanted to see the Coronado Bridge.
Have a great time & a safe trip.
Safe journey!

ReplyDeleteAwww- poor Slim!
ReplyDeleteMischief knows the suitcase means a Long, Long time too.
Sounds like a totally fun-packed trip! Hope you find some relax time to enjoy the sights too.
I have an old friend south of there in Imperial Beach, near Tijuana. She describes the whole zone as "populated." Should be a big change for you, n fun visiting.
Have a blast

ReplyDeleteBTW, the class of 68 was clearly a cut above the rest.

ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd the saga takes a turn. We are back home. Ron had a fall this morning as we were preparing to leave the motel and the difficulty in getting him back on his feet convinced us that we were trying this long trip too soon. We are bitterly disappointed,, as is our San Diego family. We are also extremely relieved to be safely back home. And we are thrilled that we had such a good time trying by being with my El Reno high school friends for one heck of a fun evening.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could see on a map your planned trip. I know by now you had to cut it short but when one isn't familiar with the geography a map is fascinating.
ReplyDeleteThe US is so very different to the UK.
