RULE # 1

Thank you brother dear for sending me this.  Now I'll know where to look for this guy.  He's hanging out around here a lot.

  1. That might be a good motto for all of us. :)

  3. Lynn -- I actually believe my brother was trying to tell ME something. LOL

Scarlet -- Oh yes, so inspirational!

  4. I wish your brother had sent that to one of the Candidates running for HIGH office.
good for all of us, perhaps, but most important for HIM.
of course here in the south we say it a lil simpler--something like--
    "zip your lip, you twit"..
    :):)
I dont think your brother was trying to tell YOU anything. You always speak well and wisely and rather frugally too.

  6. I debated wheter to comment because I have seen this before and must say it brings forth many emotions for me from anger, to sadness for the stupidity of it to the rememberance of scripture of the evil one prowling among us to devour us. I have a hard time viewing it as funny.

  9. I love that picture! God bless!

  10. Sonny -- Oh please don't make it political. That fox is smarter than ANY politicians I can think of.

Jeanie -- You said it! LOL

Changes in the wind -- Even when the fox steals our chickens it is difficult for me to think of him as evil. I looked out my front window the other morning to see the fox just about to grab one of my girls until Slim ran it off. It was a beautiful one of God's creature only attempting to feed its family. Unlike the dogs that come on our property and kill our chickens and guinea fowl as a sport because their selfish owners don't keep them home.

Chatty Crone -- Oh yes, and that wily fox is doing one heck of a good job.

ashok -- So many of us need to learn when to keep quiet. Often it is I:)

Belle -- Thanks. I have seen it before too but I guess it goes around with a lot of interpretations. This seems like a good one to me.

  11. That is fantastic! And you're right, that fox is smarter than anyone in office. So are the dogs for that matter.

  12. Marilyn used to go foxhunting with a few hunts and they hunted our farm for several years. Loved the color and pagentry in the bleak winter months. The hounds remind me of todays press. "Let's go get him."

  13. Been there, done that! :D

  14. Hello Annie
I'm not going to comment on the makeup and 'meaning' of the picture but it does remind me of how many times I've been looking for something and find it right there under my nose lol
    Take care

  15. What a fine bunch of fox(n)hounds-
That's what I'd do if I were a fox! After all, it is a canine. Yay for Slim! At least it wasn't a coyote. We have them here too. Much bigger.

    Where's the lake pic?

  16. Riot Kitty -- Yes the clever fox could give some politicians "smart" lessons.

Cliff -- Yes, and the greatest matters of concern are hiding in plain sight for the press to ignore:) What is the chance of getting Marilyn to write a guest post. It sounds like she had done some very interesting things in her life too. If horses didn't hate me I might try fox hunting but every horse I've tried to ride has attempted to kill me.

LL Cool Joe -- Sometimes I have my doubts about you being are real person and not a fictional character. Now you have been a fox hunter too! Wow, you've done it all.

Cathy -- Oh my yes, we've all done that.

Snaggle Tooth -- Well, we have coyotes too. I will admit that they aren't as pretty as foxes.

  17. Me too on the horse thing. We went trail riding with friends in Western NE when we were first married. I got the horse that "Has never, ever, bucked." They said it looked like a rodeo for about 30 seconds. I stayed on but the next day I had two black bruises the size of dinner plates on the inside of my thighs. I should mention I also had the old saddle with the great big swells that I could hook my legs under.
I like to say, "Riding horses always makes me feel 'better off'".

  18. Ahhhh... such a good thing to remember. Love this! I actually missed the fox when I first saw this photo.

  19. Cliff -- When it comes to equestrian activities I too am much "better off". Good one guy.

Kay -- You do have to look at it just a bit for the fox to first jump out at you. You know it has to be a photo shopped photo but someone did an excellent job.
