APPETITE STRIKES

Warning to all vegans...DON'T LOOK!

Ron rarely (no pun intended) has an appetite these days so when something strikes his fancy we go for it.  Yesterday he decided on  Montana Mike's Prime Rib with horseradish sauce, fried okra and green beans.  He did not make a "happy plate" but he sure gave it his best shot and we brought home enough leftovers for his next meal plus a treat for Slim.

  2. We don't have that restaurant here, but I think it would be popular. I'm glad he had enough appetite to eat any of it.

  3. Yeah, I know that Slim couldn't wait till you opened the "doggy Bag" and gave her that okra!

  5. Changes in the wind – I love fried okra and regretted not ordering some myself. I’m sure he will share the leftovers with me (as if he has a choice since I do the serving.)

Judy (kenju) -- I was shocked when he made that selection and I was very pleased,. Little by little he should be getting his appetite back. This inability to eat anything has really been crazy and I guess is more a result of the radiation than anything else.

Nancy – Yes, it was the okra that Slim wanted. How did you know? LOL By the way I was surprised you didn’t have an explanation of my encounter with the dead animal and the broken crutch. I just knew you would be creative with that one.

Tabor – Prime Rib was my mother’s favorite and Ron would fix it for her for Christmas. Well he fixed it for himself also and used mother as an excuse.

Chatty Crone – Yep, it is a good sign.

  11. Thats a great meal.. But would you believe, it'll be something we laugh at here in this part of the world. People would ask, what? Where's the food ?!

Once (I could afford for a week and not any more, for reasons you'll just know) i tried on such a diet, thought its healthy than a lot of carbohydrates when I'm not on any kind of physical labour. But the friendly house owner comes in (she's always curious what I do inside) asking about the day's food. I kept saying about the diet for a two three days, and the next time she just started pieces of advice, little to start with, then a sermon until I told my husband about this, since I was feeling too sad for the lady and her concern. My husband spurted out all unexpectedly like that "Don't you give me what the lady tells you, Just cook what we need !" Result, i began lying to the lady, we have rice for lunch every day. I still feel sorry.
