CONFESSION IS GOOD FOR THE SOUL

One of my Bonnie friends of Bonnie's Blog is off and running (walking rather) for her fitness program. She mentioned me as her inspiration and I had to make this comment of confession:

"Bonnie good for you! I am glad I could inspire you but I must tell you that I am starting to backslide a bit. Perhaps this post of yours will kick my butt back into action. This is my 12th week of riding my exercise bike and that has not changed. I am up to 50 minutes a day. But I'm back on computer too much and I've slacked off on putting on make up every day. While those aren't big things, they are the beginning of the crumble. Never fear, I'm getting a grip again. Thanks Bonnie and you keep up the good work too."

Today I hope to get back on my daily schedule and lighten up a bit on computer time. I am just addicted to all of you! I'll take all the encouragement you can give me and take a minute to give Bonnie a bit of encouragement for her success too if you can.

P.S. If it wasn't for blogging, we wouldn't have the Ruffle Butt Club :)

  3. All things in moderation. Set a time limit on your daily computer use as well as on your exercising. You don't have to do all or nothing.

  4. I am so impressed that you can do 50 minutes on the bike! VERY good. Keep up the good work, Annie!

  5. I'm with Lynn. Do you need to do more exercise? 50 minutes on the bike seems great to me....But now you've got to do something about that makeup problem! :)

  6. I love the bouncing back/forth inspiration! Never fear, Annie. Every day is a new day and a fresh start. Tomorrow you put on make-up, but only after you've been on the bike ;)

    Way to go, Bonnie!

  7. Always Nesting -- Marla, my dog votes for the too much time on computer also. And about the Ruffle Butt Club, I certainly don't want to jeopardize my membership.

Quilly -- You are the champion daily blog entry person and you're preaching "moderation". Yikes. I don't think you could possibly have time for anything else but blogging.

Lynn -- I'm stopping at the 50 minute mark and not trying to reach an hour. For my heart I'm supposed to ride exercise bike for 25 to 30 minutes.

Pat -- You're right about the make up problem. I felt so much better every day that I took the time to apply a little color to my face.

Talon -- Yes, the make up will only serve as my reward for a good work out. In turn the computer should also only serve as a reward for completed housework, meditation, etc. It keeps squeezing itself to the front of the line.

  8. That is a good workout, don't knock yourself! Where I live hardly anyone wears makeup (myself included), so no worries ;)

  10. Riot Kitty -- It is just that I feel more fit if I put on my face.

Shionge -- You've got a deal. Let's keep each other on track.

  11. It is SO easy to waste a lot of time on the computer isn't it? I use it as a bribe sometimes..I can't get on till I have accomplished this, this and this. Sad huh?

Keep with the bike Granny Annie! You can do it! I'm back at it too now. My ankle has healed enough I can start back at my work outs so you are not alone!

  12. It can be tough to stay motovated. Also, your body gets used to what you do for excersize, n won't lose weight after awhile, so you need to do more.
I've had a short vaca this week- (resting) n just hope I can still do my physical food factory job when I go back!
This year I started running on soft grass with the grandkids alot- which has me feeling tons better! I haven't in decades! those 3 year olds are pretty quick-

  13. Thanks for mentioning my walking. Encouragement is alway a good thing. Even long distance encouragement. I don't usually waer makeup unless we're going out, but I think I look better with it on (even thought hubby says I look good without). So one of my new goals is to try to make time for makeup. Thanks to all your friends for the encouragement. You guys are the best.

  15. OGO – Good idea. I shall bribe myself. A great reward will be in working on computer with a clear conscience.

Snaggle Tooth – I can’t keep adding more time to my exercise bike or I’ll end up being on it all day! I probably should add walking to my regime.

Bonnie – It was your encouragement that got me started on this in the first place. Oh yes, you can be a Ruffle Butt Club member. I believe there are four of us now: Me, Marla, Shionge and Bonnie:)
