Today those of us participating in Ily's 10/10 project move forward with page 2 in the sketch books. As I become familiar with the work of the other artists I become more aware of the phrase "What am I doing here?".
My work is all done in mixed media but primarily permanent markers. Here are a couple of my past "markerings" but these are not going into the books. I will show the others when I get my own book back in October. The 10 brave, confident and talented participants are:
Shay
Doreen
Coby
Serena
Carmen
Holland
Annie
Valeria
Paul
Ily

Congrats on overcoming any insecurities. You have a unique style that reflects that you have worked over some time. You are also pretty brave working in permanent markers!

ReplyDeleteOh granny!!! I've been drawing, painting for YEARS and even was in a juried gallery!! Some of my art can be seen on my blog, but ya gotta know where to look cuz I hide it. lol
ReplyDeleteI'm on my way to view your drawings. WHAT do you use your markers ON. Canvas? Paper? Watercolor paper? When I have a brand new, empty sketch pad, I freeze up. I CANNOT use a drawing pad of any size. paperphobic????

My husband works with permanent markers. Similar in style to yours.. I love it and am looking forward to seeing your work in my book. I took a look at your art on the other site.. very cool!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the boldness of markers. Which ones are you using?
I'm feeling like that myself - the "what am I doing here?" feeling - as I visit each participant on this project's (10x10) blog and see the talent involved.
ReplyDeleteI LIKE your "markerings"! I'm a mixed-media gal, too. Just posted my page-2 tonight on my blog. - Serena
