MY MICHELLE (CHELLE), ME IN THE MIDDLE, MY ONE "L" MICHELE. I FEEL LIKE I RAISED BOTH THESE GIRLS.
MY CHELLE AND HER HOPE. NO WAY IS HOPE MINE -- SHE IS HER MAMA'S.
Chelle, Kit, Mike and Hope moved from Missouri to Oklahoma. Since we live in Oklahoma, you would think they would be living closer to us. Not true. Our trip to their new home which is basically connected turnpike to turnpike is 45 min to an hour further than they were in Missouri. Oh well, it is every bit worth the travel to see them and to enjoy their beautiful new home.
It was a double treat to see One "L" Michele and her beautiful family. She and Chelle have been bestest of friends for about 25 years and both are super moms, cooks, wives, workers. Who would have thought silly girls could grow into such successful and talented model citizens?
Is this a happy Monday for you? It certainly is for me. That could be a bad thing. I read once that there are more heart attacks on Monday after a good weekend than after a bad weekend. The reason -- after a good weekend it is more difficult to return to the workplace.
Sometimes I marvel at how my boys became such good, responsible human beings. I have to laugh when I see them making their children eat their veggies. These are the same people who did not like being in the same room as a veggie. When I see them "suggesting" that children do their homework, I remember the nagging I had to do just to get them to do the minimum required.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad they are both such good dads.
Beautiful new home. It looks like it is all on one floor. I definitely want one floor for my next house. Nice!!
ReplyDeleteI also marvel at how well my boys are both turning out!! I can not believe all my nagging is paying off. They are reaching the age when they no longer want or ask for advice. I am glad that I got my 2 cents in while I could on love, sex, women, etc...
I also lose track of the days in the summer!!! LOL It makes keeping track of appts tricky. We missed a swim meet due to my lose of time. I would think having a DVR also adds to our loss of time. I DVR all the good shows. I never just flip on the TV to watch whatever is on.
And.. I agree that my pilot did not get enough mileage. I think the honda service department ruined it at the 90,000 mile check up. They did something screwy to it. I always got my maintenance down. That's life!! I'll just move on.
So pleased you had a wonderful time, the photo's are great. Welcome back.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
Cute pictures! That's odd that it takes you longer to get there even though they live in the same state as you. Although I live about 30 minutes away from Washington state, and about 6 hours away from the Southern part of my state.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! I'm like you in that every time I think "Wow this is a good day" I think I could have a heart attack or find out I have cancer.
ReplyDeleteJust call me cheerful. ;)
Don't talk heart attacks...just enjoy the moment.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonerful group - it looks like a fabulous time!
ReplyDeleteNice pictures. Glad you are having a good Monday!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely family - and house! I hope you can visit often.

I advise you to take your blood pressure and lay down no matter what it says. Heart attacks occur after a good weekend because fate hates for the good times to continue too long.
ReplyDeleteAnnie,
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to believe that your daughter and her family have only recently moved into their beautiful new home.
Judging by the pictures everything seems to be in perfect order and it looks like they have been there for a long time.
The picture of you and the two girls (Michelle and Michele) is sweet. You all look very happy and glad to be together.
Did you let Slim come with you?
Lovely pictures of lovely people, and a pretty new home!! Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun pics! At one point my two best friends were Michele and Michelle...just one "l" difference between them. :)
ReplyDeleteThey're both beautiful girls and it looks like you all had a great time visiting them in their new home! What a gorgeous place, btw!
Well, it's Tuesday and I'm still alive...not that I didn't have a nice weekend (I did!); it just wasn't good enough to give me a Monday heart attack! Thank God! :)
Kids always seem to surprise us. My two boys turned out so much better than I expected after the childhood they had. I'm so glad you got to see both Michelle and Michele. What a beautiful house. So glad you got to spend time with them.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful new house....Hope she enjoys it.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for them and their beautiful new home!
ReplyDeleteBoth Michelles... one L or two.. are really pretty ladies.
I'm glad you got to enjoy time with everyone there and give them a nice house warming visit.
