BRIDGE SAGA
Remember the flooding two years ago that took out our historic iron bridge? Above you see the first picture taken 7/3/07 showing the water reach the bottom of the bridge and people gathered on the bridge despite warnings. The second picture taken 7/4/07 shows the water and debris destroying the bridge. Even after the metal buckled and the boards washed away, people have continued these two years to bypass roadblocks and venture out to fish. Now the bridge is being replaced.
