OWEN'S DEBUT AS A CHILD OF GOD

It is official. Our grand nephew Owen was baptized yesterday in Chicago and has formally been recognized as a child of God. It turns out that yesterday was Saint Elizabeth's day in the Catholic church. Our mother was Elizabeth and Owen's name is for our dad. His christening gown was hand knit by his Aunt Christy. I talked to my sister last night and her voice properly expressed the emotion of their day.

  4. Well, there is the sweet boy, Owen.
God Blessed him on his christening day with a wonderful smile and a beautiful christening dress made by his loving Aunt. What more could a young boy want?

I looked at the Rose Bowl Parade to see the Broken Arrow Pride Band but missed them when I had to leave for awhile in a slight emergency. Nothing terrible but I did miss the band. How did they do? Was the trip fun? I heard the announcer say that it was a 5 mile parade route. It must have seemed long to them.

I'd like to hear about their experience. This is a great opportunity for the young marcher to be a guest blogger on your site,Annie. Ask him to tell us about it....
