ReplyDeleteYou know, I have often wondered what our country would be like if we just withdrew from every other country in the World that we are in at the moment (either at war with or have an embassy there).
Just ignore everyone else for about 5 years and spend ALL of our money on our own infrastructure and schools and housing problems and disaster repair.
Is this a good idea or do I have a strange way of dealing with our problems?
Yes, and we know exactly who you are talking about....
ReplyDeleteNot strange at all. Nowhere does it say we HAVE to take care of the rest of the world. I get crazy when we send 50 billion dollars somewhere and it never gets to those who need what it will buy -- it goes straight into the pockets of despots around the world.
ReplyDeleteI'm always criticized by my "isolationist" leanings, but 5 years of isolation could make a big difference to the quality of life in this country.
