TO SHARE OR NOT TO SHARE THAT IS THE QUESTION

My mother told me never to put anything in writing that I did not want to share with the world. That is good advice to pass to my grandchildren and I will add this about how we talk. "And always live your life as if the microphone is on."

  2. Great advice because it can come back and bite you in the backside!!! And that's from someone who's had her words for dessert more than once -- I guess I'm a slow learner! LOL

  3. Good advice both on writing and talking.
You previous post about Red Lobster was a little scary. Do be careful what you wish for.

  4. A agree with you and Kay! I've had to eat my words far too often.

  5. There would be very little content for bloggers to post if we actually lived like this. Although I do believe we should be careful what we say.

  7. Granny Annie,

"And always live your life as if the microphone is on" and the CAMERA,too!

These days you can never be certain unless you are in the "Cone of Silence" that you are not being photographed and recorded.

Who cares? If you are not doing anything wrong or hurtful, what difference does it make if you end up on YouTube?

Your Mother gave you very good advice, and you are obviously following it, and your grandchildren are ,too.

  9. So true.....Never say anything you don't want spread like wildfire......

I can't understand these people who video very personal things and then end up finding them all over the Internet...

  10. So true. I had a moment of panic this morning when a student said that he found my blog last night. Then I realized that I hadn't said anything too bad.
Ah, the stories I'd like to write. I know that my family and a couple of old boyfriends read my blog. It's tough to worry about everyone's feelings.

  11. Oh, so true.
I always find it funny when a sex tape of some celebrity "surfaces." What WERE they thinking?????
Also, Rev. Jesse Jackson I'm sure wishes he'd never have spoken those words that were caught when his mic was on.
We all have had those times when we wish to heaven we could take back something we said.

  12. Well it is now 4:15 A.M. and you've kept me awake since 2:47 when Marilyn asked me "what's that noise." I assumed it wasn't a noisy wife she was speaking of and now after hearing nothing and reading your blog since then I'm grumpy and glad there are no microphones in here.
Nice blog here. I don't have time to add another blog to my list... But I find I must. You write gooder than me. So I'll be back. Now that will give you something to worry about. I should add that if JD comes here from time to time then it's okay for me.

  13. Jamie Dawn beat me to the thought that Jesse Jackson must be wishing he had kept his mouth shut!
