PLEASE TELL ME WHY

I am not a liberal and I am not a conservative. I am, I guess, a moderate. Now, please tell me what movies to watch. I love movies. I love television. I am a baby boomer and we have been raised on fun fiction. But, what in the world do we do with Hollywood when they are so extremely prejudiced toward the liberal slant that they do not entertain the moderates? We cannot go to radio because the radio talk shows are all directed toward ultra conservatives. I try so hard not to pay money for anything that takes a political slant and falsely advertises as entertainment. That is difficult these days. Do any of you have any suggestions for good entertainment that is wholesome and reaches the entire American public seeking entertainment and not politics? Pray tell me those shows. Thanks!

  1. If you find out let me know.

I have a collection of old VCR movies, (not real old) that I watch and I try not to watch any political movies. My movies are like Dr.Doolittle, Mrs.Doughtfire, Jurassic Park, The Green Mile, Grumpy Old Men.

You can tell I haven't been to the movies much. hehehe

  2. I watch the medical shows and the TLC channel a lot. It's a little hard to get politics in the birth of a baby so that is usually safe. I know how you feel...I have dish TV with ultra channels and it seems all I do is LOOK for something to watch. My hubby likes to watch the poker matches and I can even do that LOL

  3. nik at night (nickalodean channel) runs a number of the old show reruns. i find that i watch a LOT of reruns of old shows instead of the new ones. t.v. is such a disappointment. i'm waiting for my nest to be empty and then canceling our our cable.

  4. We have satellite, and it's the same as cable but cheaper that's all. Too many channels to choose from so I never can find anything.
My daughter told me about nickalodean too...she watches it on cable. If it wasn't for my husband I would cancel everything and only have local channels because I only watch the Young & The Restless right now on a local channel.

Now that winter is approaching I'll put up my bike and be on the computer more and maybe try and catch a few movies on TV. I have a hard time blogging during the summer months...too much going on outside.

(I tried to email you back, but the above message was returned to me.)

Some of the old movies are fun. Recently watched "Guys & Dolls" and was particularly interested in how they could just go to the airport, hop on a flight to Cuba and come back the next day. This was in 1955 -- seems like yesterday!!
