COUNTRY LIFE

I first learned this when we lived in Kansas. (Remember, I was a city girl until Ron)

If you have a group of men working or visiting and you look out and see one, two or more just standing on the opposite side of the truck bed, if you are female, it's best not to approach them.

Who knows why?

Or, if you, the woman of the house, see one fellow standing with his back to you and he appears to be contemplating nature, don't run over to see what he's doing.

Who knows why?

When you learn why, you will have learned one piece of country life etiquette. You will also know why our grandsons love to visit us in the country! Oh the freedom.......I guess:-)

I envy those who live in the country. That's real freedom. But I never lived in the country country. I've lived with chickens, goats, and ducks, but we were on the outskirts. Not true country. My anti-zombie compound will definitely be in the country though.

As for those etiquettes, I don't know. Goes to show, I'm not a real countryboy. :(

  2. I would have to say that nature was calling. Aren't guys lucky? where ever...when ever.

  3. Yep, you got it. "Nature calling" is a nice way to say it. I will never forget Dillon's delight when he was four and Grandpa told him to just pee off the porch. He spent the entire visit peeing outside.

  5. That country life does make it easier for some folks just to go out beside the house!!

  6. My Dad always had to check the tires on the back of the car while we out for Sunday drives...WE had to jiggle and whine and hold ourselves until the next gas station. ;)

  7. Now let's not forget our girls...when my daughter was just little she went with her Dad out Dove hunting and she was afraid to just pee so he found a rock and told her to pee on the rock...she came home so excited because she peed on a rock! We still tease about it.

  8. There's some pissing... uh, I mean peeing going on!

When we lived in CA, we had 40 acres, 38 acres of it were mandarin trees. My son LOVED the freedom of the Outdoor Pee. Now, he is forced to pee in the toilet unless he's out in the sticks, in which case he can freely enjoy the Outdoor Pee once again.

    Love this post!!

I'll never forget the time my sons and I were on a cross-country driving trip and somewhere in either Wyoming or Montana I had to pee but when I found a "secluded place" in the woods, I turned my head mid-pee to see that my back was to a freeway!!
