Where, oh where, oh where?

Independence Day was quiet around here. We did talk to mother yesterday morning and she sounded wonderful. I received comments on my blog from Elenore and Jessi, so I know they live and breathe. But, where, oh where, oh where is everybody else and what did everyone do for the Fourth Of July? When will the Missouri crew be returning from Indianna?

I was actually in mourning most of the weekend. It is easy to get caught up in the sadness of missing and murdered children. We absolutely must revamp our laws and stop allowing these offenders out on probation and parole.

Hollywood in moaning the losses at the box office. They are trying to figure out why people aren't going to movies anymore. The last reason on their list, which they doubt has anything to do with it, is "lack of positive role models for our children". Duh! Why don't they make a movie about hero's rushing to the aid of missing children, saving their lives and frying the perpetrators instead of slapping their wrists and letting them go? Now that would be a happy ending!

Hollywood should also make a movie out of Harlan Coben's Myron Bolitar books. Wouldn't you just love to see Myron and especially his pal Win in action defending the weak and downtrodden?

Also, I'm getting more and more in the ground swell to vote for John McCain in 2008. John McCain -- John Wayne -- hey, it rhymes! We need heros!!!!

  1. i think it's because hollywood doesn't make any good movies. just like the music industry...no more good music. i'm sure independent movies have not been hurt as bad as the summer blockbuster. like war of the worlds? BAD....i want my 2 hours back. the more and more i think about it, the more i don't like it. i know the story too...it had nothing to do with that. it just sucked! crusie and speilberg together = BOX OFFICE POISION! :)

  2. They need some really good NEW scripts instead of re-making old story lines. And they need to stop being such bleeding hearts. I watched (tried to watch) Windtalkers last night and wanted to first, puke, and second apologize to the entire Navajo Nation and to the US Military. Talk about BAD as in BAD.
