This week's prompt is: 'T'was a hot midsummer's eve and a storm was brewing on the horizon

It has always been my plan to visit friends Lee and River in Australia. The travel by cruise line would take three weeks. Wishing to meet there earlier with them on Newry Island was impossible. The cruise would have to serve because a flight would be very expensive. Maybe if all went well I could meet up with River before we both headed for Lee's requested meeting place.
It was a beautiful day and pinching myself was the only way to believe it was happening. We hugged and then we stepped upon the sailing boat. Who could have guessed that the weather could take on such a quick change. Twas a hot midsummer's eve and a storm was brewing on the horizon. Thankfully we saw it coming and quickly returned to the Island, able to have a harrowing tale to share with friends when the vacation was over.

ReplyDeleteI'd enjoy a visit there myself, and yes, I'd want to meet up with anyone willing to meet up with me from among our blog friends.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely, apart from a storm brewing, but we made it back to the island. It would be nice to meet up with blog friends though I am quite shy and quiet in real life.
