QUESTION OF THE WEEK...01-6-2025
What have you ever regretted you did not say or do?
The last time the ambulance came for Ron he ask me to give him a shot of vodka. He had not had a drink for 30 years and I said no, still thinking he would survive. When he died short time later I regretted not getting him that drink.
Oh yes. One (of many) that still haunts me dates back to Christmas Eve a few years ago. I was at the supermarket picking up a few last minute things. The woman before me in the checkout didn't have quite enough cash for her purchase and walked away. How I wish I had paid for her item.
I regret not hugging my children more when they were babies and toddlers, even during school years. Hugging wasn't "done" in my family and I thought it was normal until much later in life when my daughter married into a "hugging" family and all the grandchildren are now huggers, but my daughters can't hug me because it feels awkward.

ReplyDeleteThere are so many regrets over the years. I think we all have them. Nothing we can do to change those regrets, but I still think about some of them.
