Since guinea pigs are such social creatures, one guinea pig would get lonely so having just one is considered animal abuse in Switzerland.

I didn't. Hooray for laws protecting the other species with whom we share (or should) the planet.
ReplyDeleteI did not know that, but it makes sense since they are social animals and prefer to have at least one of their own around.
ReplyDeleteHaving not made the acquaintance of any guinea pigs personally, I did not know this. Now I know not to get a guinea pig unless I'm going to decide to house two.
