SOBER SINCE 2021
It is very sad to see the news this morning that Matthew Perry has died at age 54. He was Chandler on the sitcom FRIENDS. All the actors on that show were the ages of my children. We all watched this show together for many weeks. We followed the news reports of Perry's bouts with drug addiction and each of his attempts to become drug free. It literally broke my heart this morning to see this news headline. He drowned in his jacuzzi. There was no evidence of foul play and no presence of drugs. We learned that he finally overcame his addictions in 2021 and wrote a book.
We become so attached to many actors in our lives. It is often as if we lost a friend. Did the death of any actor make you feel like you knew the person?
That totally blew me away too! He was so young. I always enjoyed watching Friends.
ReplyDeleteVery sad he is all over the Canadian news being that he lived here for some of his life when his mom married a Canadian.
ReplyDeleteIt was in our newspaper today, a double page spread, though we heard about it yesterday on the TV news and on the internet.
ReplyDeleteIt's so sad. I hate it when musicians from my era die. The Medical Examiner has to have more info before the cause can be determined. Maybe a heart attack caused by his past drug use, or a relapse with drugs. Sad. Linda in Kansas
