MOON WATCHERS by Granny Annie
Beth had to suppress her desire to view the full moon. She had been urged to watch by a friend at the bus stop. Beth knew her partner Joseph would not want to journey out in the dark to see the spectacle. She had put an extra egg roll in his lunch that day knowing he would think of her as a hero for this fine treat. It was her way of putting pressure on him.
The darkness was upon them and Joseph finally agreed to go out with Beth. She gave him a little treasure map that would help them work their way through the backyard. Beth started dancing a ballet and in the process tripped over the garden gnome, and fell into the trash can. First her scream then their laughter filled the air. What a crazy adventure just to travel their own yard.
The pair of moon watchers made so much noise it angered the neighbors and at the end of the evening the police arrived with a warrant for their arrests.
