Charlotte/Mother Owl has chosen luminous bright red as the color of the month, which you may use as an extra prompt if you wish.
LIZZIE WAS IN CHARGE by Granny Annie
It was a very hot summer season but it did not deter Lizzie's grandchildren from being happy They frolicked outside and Lizzie continued to run out of sunscreen. She did not want to return luminous bright red children to their parents. That would not only be an offense it would be a shame.
The grandchildren could not resist the urge to combine in a plan to disappear. They knew their grandmother might have a breakdown so they would reappear in just a second.
The problem became evident when the children realized they were lost and it would take longer to find their way home. This meant Grandmother would become aware of the trick and be prepared to whip each bottom good and hard.
Thankfully the children found there way home just in time for dinner but Grandmother straightened her spine and assured each child in front of her that their dinner would be delayed. Lizzie ordered them to their rooms. They looked at the table filled with delicious food and places nicely set with plates and flatware. They walked away hungry with their heads down muttering they were sorry for the prank.
Lizzie just stood secretly smiling with gratitude. They were safe.
I have missed your stories in recent weeks and am thrilled that you are joining us again. And love this story.
ReplyDeleteGrandmother was smart to stand her ground. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteI hope Grandmother didn't keep them waiting too long for their dinner, but that's better than whipping their bottoms.
ReplyDeleteGood story
